Sociedad:
The
Sociedad team boasts a high work rate and this is largely
helped and strengthened by their two defensive midfielders,
Xavi Alonzo and Arunburu respectively. These two provide a
great mixture of strength and speed with Arunburu capable of
deft interceptions at vital moments. As the formation suggests
Sociedad use four at the back, but one will find that sociedad
are very much a hard working team and it is not uncommon to
have lots of support at the back. This would usually weaken
the teams attacking capabilities but with the speed and skill
of Nihat and the perfectly complimentary Ariel abilities of
Kovacevic sociedad are a frightening team when they spill
forward. The wide players play a large part of this with the
veteran but still largely affective Karpin on the right, and
the more defensive minded abilities of De Pedro on the left.
The wide players ability to cross will often play dividends
and expect Kovacevic to reach most crosses and generally makes
a nuisance of himself around the penalty box. Weakness wise,
sociedad can tend to play just a little too counter attacking
at times and whilst often not conceding many can struggle to
get lots of possession play, so putting away the chances is
vital.

Conclusion:
A
sound team for the player who likes to keep things tight and
decisive on the break. In Westerveld there is a keeper who can
make brilliant stops but tends to be inconsistent and
throughout the defensive and midfield are players who may not
be very technically gifted but will give their all. Best used
on the break and against players with a strong attacking
mentality.
